Students are a bundle of talent. In the middle school their talent is expressed through various competitions which enables them to bring out their hidden skills and abilities. This also passes out a message that the school believes that academics and co-curricular activities walk hand in hand. All the students are encouraged to participate. The students' talent is brought out through variety of competitions such as Devaranama, Film hits, Bhava Geethe, Art, Mehendi, Rangoli, Greeting card making, Elocution, Debate - English, Hindi, Kannada, Spell Bee, Quiz, Mono Acting, Science Talk, Dance, Radio Jockey and Mad Ads.

Students' singing abilities are brought out through competitions like Devaranama, Film Hits and Bhava Geethe. The preliminary rounds of the singing events are judged by our trained music teachers on the basis of 'shruthi' and 'rhythm'. The finalists of the events then perform during the cultural fest 'Spandana' and these finalists enthrall the audience and the judges with their melodious voice. It is a tough competition and a marathon task for the judges to select the top three.

The creativity of the students in the field of art is brought out through competitions such as drawing, greeting card making, mehendi and rangoli. The art teachers train the children before the competitions. Each and every student is encouraged to take part in these competitions. The rangoli and mehendi competitions are held to keep our traditions alive in these young minds as it is a part of our rich cultural heritage.

The oratory skills of the students are brought out through competitions held in the form of elocution and debate. Students are encouraged to participate not only in English but also in the state and national language. The teachers emphasize on diction, the art of public speaking, stance and appropriate use of gestures. They are trained in the study of speech delivery in such a way that the communication of the unspoken word is equally important to those of the spoken words with particular attention paid to pronunciation, grammar, style and tone. This boosts the confidence of the students.

Students are encouraged to participate in group events such as Quiz and Spell-Bee which also inculcate the importance and value of team spirit. A preliminary round for all the students is conducted giving a set of questions and words and the top scorer of each class is selected and teams are formed.

Spell-Bee gives the child an opportunity to practice reading words and connecting the same to how they sound which helps in phonological awareness.

Quiz is conducted in order to increase the global awareness among the students. Different rounds are conducted keeping in mind the current affairs, science, art, sports etc. These competitions bring zeal and enthusiasm not only in the participants but also the audience. It also develops the sense of team spirit in the students.

Theatre classes are conducted, which bring out the budding artistes in the field of acting. Dramatics and mono-acting are the competitions which showcase the talents of our budding artistes.

We believe in going on par with technology. Through science talk children exhibit their knowledge in various fields of science with power point presentation.

Entertainment is a part of education and our students' excellent skills be it in the fields of music, dance, acting or oratory skills is showcased through Mad-Ads and Radio Jockey. Students are trained and preliminary round is conducted before the finalists are chosen. The competition of Radio Jockey and Mad-Ads help the students to entertain and interact with a large audience.

The aim of conducting such competitions is to encourage students and bring out all round development in each and every student.
