  • Maanyas Light Canvas

    They say picture speaks a thousand words and Photography is an art with a message, we fail to put in words. The Light Canvas is about the photographs created when camera meets this young creative mind, painting the image Canvas with light..!

    Maanya Shastry, a passionate photographer studies in class 7th of Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar. She plunged into serious photography when she was 10 year old. Since then, it's overwhelming to see the balanced and subtle compositions she creates every time she holds this "magic light box". Framing is something which comes naturally to her.

    She has participated in the inter school photography contest conducted by Kids For Tigers (an initiative by Sanctuary Asia ) and won second place while competing with children above her age group, from various schools across Bangalore. She has won photography competition that was conducted during the photography camp at Bannerghatta. Recently, her pictures were displayed at the Mysore Zoo as part of Wildlife Week Photography Exhibition - 2018. Her journey of photography continues with new learning and compositions.

  • Rahul Vellal of class 6 had the opportunity to perform in 'Annamayya Paataku Pattabhishekham' programme in Hyderabad for SVBC channel. He sang the song in the presence of Sri Keeravani Garu (Music Director for the movie Bahubali) and renowned Producer and Director Raghavendra Rao Garu.

  • The students of Middle School had an opportunity to perform for an Inter School competition conducted by Bharat Vikas Parishad. Our students had a good platform to showcase their talent. They brought laurels to the school by winning prizes in Dance, quiz and group song.

  • MLV 90 was an event organised to celebrate the 90th birthday of Padma Bhushan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. M L Vasantha Kumari, supreme classical Indian Carnatic Vocalist. Rahul Vellal of Std VI was invited for a performance by Padma Bhushan Dr. Sudha Raghunathan for this event on July 3rd 2018. This event was held at Prestigious Madras Music Academy, Chennai. The chief guest for this event was the current defence minister of India, Honourable Smt. Nirmala Seetharaman.

IQ Gnana

IQ Gnana Foundation conducted an exam based National Leadership Talent Search (NLTSE) which is an executive scholarship program in the month of February 2018.

Anshuman Dash of class 9 was awarded a scholarship Rs.600 per month and Sai Vineesh Dasari of class 5 was awarded a scholarship of Rs.1000 per month.

High School

    "All good things come in small packages ". is an apt description for S.M Yuvan Siddharth , from Upper Kindergarten(U.K.G). First bagging the 8th rank in the State Level Inter-School Spell Bee competition to March to the next level, which was the apex of achievement, the 16th rank in the National Level Spell Bee competition held at Mumbai.

  • Siri Suresh of Std III has won a silver medal in the Sports Olympiad 2016-17. She has secured a 2nd position at the zonal level and 89th rank at the International level. She also has bagged a cash reward of Rs. 2500/-

    Letter Writing Competition
    1. 'Literature is my Utopia", a young follower of the famous Hellen Keller. Honing her literary skills and gaining command over the language is her prime goal.
    2. Avantika Sanyal of Std. IV has made her first mark by winning the first prize and a cash prize of Rs.2,000 in the Inter-school Letter Writing Competition organised by the Indian Postal Department.

    1. Harshitha Bhat of Standard VI was awarded 10th rank and a cash prize of 222 US.Dollars for her excellence in spelling at the Marrs International Spell Bee competition held at Abu Dhabi in May, 2015.
    2. Sumanth Anand of Std VIII and Akshatha Kalle of Std III both received the 'Budding Star Award' and a Cash prize of 111 US. Dollars at the the Marrs International Spell Bee competition held at Abu Dhabi in May, 2015.

  • Different strokes competition conducted by Carmel High School, Basaveshwarnagar encouraged children to take part in various events and our school children won many prizes.

    4. And in the Drawing event Ruhika has bagged I prize Chandolu Keerthana -3rd prize, Gayathri Hegde - Consolation prize, Neha. R. Deshpande has won 2nd prize in card making too.
    5. Ruhika C. and Gayathri Hegde are the 1st and 2nd runners up in the Little Wiz Kids competition.
    6. Sumanth Anand secured 11th place and skanda secured 10th rank in CHRD G.K. exam.
  • MaRRS International Spelling Bee is the largest English Competition in Asia for school children. It helps students to improve their communication skills and vocabulary.
    1. P. Harshitha Bhat of Std.IV and Akshaya Minnasandran of Std.III of Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar, Bangalore have secured the 2nd and 8th rank respectively.
    2. Sunanditha.B. S. and Varsha Raghuram of Std.III of Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar, Bangalore have been titled as 'Budding Stars'.

    Kudos to these children for making the Management, Staff and their parents proud.

  • Students of Middle School had participated in various events in 'ANKUR' 2017 Inter School Literary and Cultural Competition on 21st July 2017. Varsha Raghuram won the first place in Debate - English. Our school also bagged the second place in Desi Nrithya (Group dance).

  • Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar, is very proud to announce that Varsha Raghuram of class 6 has scored the highest marks in English in IAIS 2016 examination conducted by Mac Millan. She has been awarded the U.N.S.W Gold Medal. She is the only student of class 6 to have won the medal.
  • Her achievements does not end here, she has also won the Asset Talent Search and has scored the first place in English Olympiad at the International Level.

  • Kids for Tigers fest was held at Bal Bhavan
    Kids for Tigers fest was held at Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park in the month of January 2016. Children took part in various competitions like face painting, stall competition, rangoli, skit, photography, singing and dress up competition. Our student Anchal R. S. Singh bagged second prize in dress up competition.

  • Vimala Shankar Education Society Inter High School Speech Contest
    The SARS March Past Platoon of Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar, Bengaluru took part in the Republic Day Parade held on 26.01.2016 at Manekshaw Parade Ground and bagged second prize under group V. The trophy was received by the March Past leader Kum.Manaswini.P by his excellency, the Governor of Karnataka Shri.Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala.
  • In the Vimala Shankar Education Society Inter High School Speech Contest which was held on Friday, the 7th of August, 2015. Our students Chanda S. of IX A2 and Prateeksha S. Kumar of IX A, were the team winners. Each of them was given an individual third prize for which she was given another gold coin and a trophy.
  • The inimitable success of Ekasmayi Esha Naresh [10 A2] the winner and Anjan Venkatesh - [10 A1] the best speaker in the Regional KISA Debate Competition on 22nd June 2012 at ST. Thomas Public School.
  • The Albert Barrow Memorial All India Creative Writing competition highlighted the talent of Suhas B.U. [10 A2].

  • Ekasmayee Esha Naresh very deservingly bagged the Best Speaker Award at the Frank Antony memorial All India Debate Competition held at Innisfree School.
  • At the DHIE Short-story writing competition - Sujitha Prabhakar [9B] won the 1st prize.
  • The most stupendous achievement was that of - Niteesh [10A2] and Shravan [10A1] in the Quiz Competition hosted by Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological museum. It was conducted over a period of six months. Both these young achievers won the 1st place. This pair also bagged the 1st place in the Quiz competition held at the Carmel High school, Basaveshwaranagar.
